Our Victoria Wharf Shopping Center is currently undergoing an expansion, adding nearly 4,000 square meters of luxury retail space with a dedicated luxury wing. PIER AND THE WATERSIDE SCORE TOPS AT EAT OUT AWARDS Photo Credit: La Colombe Group This week at the Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards, restaurants throughout South Africa were awarded one to three stars based on their food, service and overall dining experience. These awards aim to showcase South African culinary excellence. Restaurants scoring 70-79 receive 1-star ratings, scores between 80-89 receive a 2-star rating, and restaurants scoring 90-100 receive the coveted 3-star rating. This year at the Eat Out Awards, both Pier and The Waterside Restaurant were recognized and awarded, with Pier receiving a 3-star rating, and The Waterside receiving a 2-star rating. Read more, here. Date: Wednesday, 9 April 2025 Time: 18h00 – 19h30 Location: The Amphitheatre Cost: Free Waterfront Canal Challenge The Waterfront Canal Challenge is an annual urban canal swim hosted by the Rotary Club of Waterfront in Cape Town. This unique event brings together swimmers of all ages and abilities to compete in a timed race through the scenic Waterfront Canal. The event is primarily a sporting event where swimmers participate in Africa’s only timed 1-mile swim in the Battery Park Canal at the V&A Waterfront – a unique open water event for all participants. In addition, an elite swimmer invitation event will include some of South Africa’s top open water swimmers. Other swim events include 30 schools across the province and their guides. An early morning swim run event is open to everyone. All funds raised will be redirected back into community projects run by Waterfront Rotary Club in Cape Town.
