The Cape Town Diamond Museum – one of Cape Town’s most unique and enduring tourist attractions; marks the start of the Shimansky Diamond Experience. The museum features several authentic artefacts that tell the amazing story of diamonds, and in particular – the story of South Africa’s diamond trade. While the world’s most famous, dazzling gems are often only part of private or corporate collections, it’s possible to see magnificent replicas such as: The Cullinan, The Hope, The Taylor-Burton and many more. It is also home to an opulent jewellery showroom, offering visitors an insight into the diamond cutting and polishing process with an on-site jewellery manufacturing workshop and factory. The Shimansky Diamond Experience is perfect for Free Independent Travellers (FIT) as well as group travellers. The 45-minute, multilingual tour offers unique insights in the journey of a Shimansky diamond and highlights the craftsmanship inherent in every signature piece of jewellery produced by the team of select master craftsmen.
